Product Development Specialist

The Product Development Specialist is charged with increasing the profitability of existing products and assisting in the development and launch of new products. The Product Development Specialist requires a blend of business acumen and analytics to understand the fundamentals of business for their respective products lines. This position will be the product expert working with the sales channel and key customers to meet the needs of our markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research market requirements and opportunities
  • Project manage new product developments as assigned

Sales Analyst

We have an immediate opening for the position of POS Data analyst. The position reports to the Sales Operations Manager.  The primary responsibility of the POS Data Analyst is to manage, analyze, and distribute POS received from retailer partners.

The position will focus on supporting our customer business by managing, analyzing and distributing POS data.  This position will entail proactive analysis of current business trends, which includes identifying future opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business. The position will require advanced skills, and the entire Microsoft Office Suite (including Access). The person is responsible for weekly sales analytics /reporting both internally and to West Chester customers. The candidate should be articulate, highly analytical and detail oriented. The candidate will also need to possess excellent team skills, as this person will interact daily with our supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to insure all aspects of our business are operating at the highest level. The position will also require day-to-day data management with our third party POS partner, and various customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure weekly/monthly/annual POS reports are created and delivered for internal distribution
  • Work with Program Managers (PM), National Sales Managers (NSM) and Key Account managers (KAM) to make certain that respective customers are receiving weekly/monthly/annual POS reports.
  • Create and maintain tools to maintain historical data markers to help team quickly identify data outliers.
  • Report out of stock and inventory issues at customers to quickly recover lost sales issues
  • Analyze trends in POS data, bring to attention of PM, NMS, KAM, and Sales Operations Manager
  • Create presentation slides for customer meetings collaborating with PM, NSM, and marketing team
  • Act as primary contact with third party POS provider.
  • Work with third party POS provider to ensure that data is being delivered accurately and timely; maintaining customer level data to ensure accuracy of POS reports.
  • Manage and maintain customer item set up and One Sync set up when needed.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative environment by emphasizing teamwork.
  • Occasional travel to customers, and trade show to demonstrate tools that West Chester possesses to help manager POS data.
  • Critical and Creative thinker, looking for angles to use POS data to help West Chester better service our customers.

Program Manager/Sales Assistant – Retail

We have an immediate opening for the position of Program Manager / Sales Assistant – Retail.  The position reports to the National Sales Manager.  The primary responsibility of the Program Manager is to support West Chester’s National Sales Managers (NSM) efforts, keeping the NSM organized, prepared, and on track.

At West Chester, each employee is their own entrepreneur, therefore the ideal candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment, juggle multiple tasks, and have the drive to win.  You need to possess superior organization, analytic, and computer skills.  Market knowledge of the retail (big box, farm supply, mass, hardware, truck and travel and food) channels is a must.

The career path for this position is to move into a selling role within WCPG.  The ideal candidate should possess the skills and desire to provide a high level of service to the customer the position supports.    Critical areas this position addresses are analytical (40%), coordination & account support (40%), and offering merchandising solutions to help drive point of sale within our retailers partners (20%). Ideally, this candidate will possess the desire to develop within the organization and step into the next open retail sales position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the efforts of the National Sales Manager (NSM) team you are assigned
  • Manage account play books for accounts you are assigned to support
  • Manage multi-channel opportunities and provide support to facilitate opportunity conversion 
  • Create and manage cross functional projects, making certain that projects are completed on time and budget
  • Create and manage customer P&L’s process
  • Manage, analyze , and distribute customer POS data, making recommendations to NSM based on data trends and exceptions
  • Create presentations for customer meetings collaborating with NSM and marketing team
  • Collaborate with marketing team to make sure NSM’s are driving new products or focus categories
  • With the support of the EVP sales, NSM’s, maintain, develop and provide detailed reporting on a weekly/monthly basis for the assigned retail sales team member/s, both on a standardized and ad hoc basis.
  • Act as primary point of contact with the assigned retailer’s replenishment teams and internal supply chain team
  • Coordinate internally with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Shipping to ensure product flows properly from order point to ship point.
  • Collaborate with NSM and Sales Operations Manager with assigned retailers to develop forecasts, typically up to 9 months out.
  • Manage item characteristics customer specific data bases as required.
  • Pull, evaluate and ship samples for assigned retail accounts and national shows
  • Build and maintain a collaborative environment by emphasizing teamwork.
  • Occasional travel to visit assigned retailer, retailer shows, national shows

Forklift Operator 

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The timely and accurate pulling of product for the production floor, putting in rack locations and inventory cycle counting.
  • The ability to use and RT and SAP as well the ability to multi-task. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to follow directions and/or work independently.
  • Hours are second shift, 3:30pm-12:00am. Must possess the ability and willingness to work over time.

Requirements

  • Employee must possess good communications skills, math skills, good housekeeping skills and the ability to self-motivate.
  • Certification on MHE is a must. (Certification will be provided).
  • 5 High reach experience is a plus.
  • Training of SAP within the RT handheld will be provided.
  • Driver's License

 

Data Entry – Warehouse

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a supportive function to the Warehouse Office Clerk ensuring Warehouse Employee’s times and production are captured accurately and maintained in a monthly incentive report.

Maintaining the monthly incentive report includes, but is not limited to:

  • Analyzing and calculating daily hand-written timesheets from all Production/Rework Employees and Temporary Staff.
  • Interpreting and entering daily production data for all Warehouse Employees.
  • Running reports in SAP and preparing exported data for production number calculations.
  • Analysis of possible discrepancies or outliers to ensure employees accurately meet bonus incentives.
  • Tracking temporary employee’s production numbers.
  • In addition to the above tasks, this position will also support additional functions in administrative, shipping/receiving, and payroll as needed.  This includes assisting all warehouse management with any requested tasks.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel Required.
  • Ability to perform routine clerical duties is essential.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide units of measure, specifically units of time.
  • Ability to proofread, make corrections and alterations when necessary.
  • Basic understanding of Word and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Prior experience in SAP is preferred.

 

Team Lead – Warehouse

The role of a Team Leader at West Chester Protective Gear is to support Supervisors and Managers with the day to day floor operations in the warehouse.  In this role you will support safety, training, inventory control, production, and housekeeping on a daily basis. Team Leaders should be approachable to employees to answer questions and help solve problems when they occur.  Further, you will be required to learn all aspects of the operation in which you are assigned, and be able to fill in for the Supervisor when needed.     

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain a healthy, safe working environment for all employees
  • Facilitate job training for current warehouse employees and new hires
